• A new way to discover places with generative AI in Maps : Users can ask Maps what they are looking for, such as “places with a vintage vibe in SF”, and Maps will use its AI models to analyze the information and insights from over 250 million places and 300 million Local Guides on Maps. Maps will then generate suggestions for where to go, along with photo carousels and review summaries. Users can also ask follow-up questions to refine their search or explore other options. The feature is called “search generative experience” (SGE).
