The goal is to redesign search engines to better serve AI users, like Large Language Models (LLMs), rather than humans.

The model, called ChatBIT, was created by institutions linked to the People's Liberation Army and is optimized for military tasks like gathering and processing intelligence. Meta has stated that this use is unauthorized and against their acceptable use policy.
