• Apple is developing a more conversational version of Siri, dubbed LLM Siri, powered by advanced large language models to compete with ChatGPT. This new Siri will enable more natural, back-and-forth conversations and handle complex tasks more efficiently. Apple plans to introduce LLM Siri with iOS 19 and macOS 16, with a full release expected in spring 2026.

• At SC24, NVIDIA highlighted its dominance in the supercomputing world, with 384 systems on the TOP500 list powered by its technology. The conference showcased advancements in AI and accelerated computing, including the release of new CUDA-X libraries and updates to the NVIDIA CUDA-Q development platform, which are driving breakthroughs in fields like climate forecasting, drug discovery, and quantum simulation

• St. Peter's Church in Lucerne, Switzerland, has introduced an AI-powered Jesus hologram as part of an art project called "Deus in Machina" (God in a Machine). This installation allows visitors to interact with the AI Jesus in a confessional setting, discussing their concerns and receiving responses in over 100 languages. The project, developed by computer scientists and theologians, aims to explore the intersection of technology and religion, sparking both interest and debate among visitors.

• China announced the creation of a new AI Experts Committee to guide the development and governance of AI technology. Alibaba Cloud founder Wang Jian was appointed as the chief expert, and the committee includes about 170 AI specialists from around the world. The initiative aims to promote China's perspective on AI governance and foster international cooperation, amid ongoing technological competition with the U.S.
