• Y Combinator’s Winter 2024 Demo Day, the second half featured numerous new startups, captivating a portion of the venture investing community. A host to ideas were demoed ranging from the Electrical Engineering to how the a vet can streamline their practice. Notable ones are Atopile, Scritch and Lantern.

• Disney’s is creating Magic HoloTile Floors with AI-boosted droids. These innovative HoloTile Floors combine augmented reality (AR) with physical tiles, creating an immersive experience. The AI-enhanced droids, equipped with advanced algorithms, respond to user interactions and adapt dynamically. This fusion of technology promises exciting possibilities for entertainment and interactive environments.

• Alphabet, is reportedly exploring the possibility of making an offer for HubSpot, an online marketing software company. Alphabet has been in discussions with its advisers about this potential bid. The market value of HubSpot is estimated to be $32 billion. However, it’s important to note that Alphabet has not yet submitted an official offer.

• Apple, fresh off abandoning its electric vehicle project, seems to be shifting gears toward a different venture: household robots. Engineers at the iPhone company are reportedly working on a “personal robotics” device that could cohabitate with users and follow them around—essentially a robo-roommate.
