• Microsoft has introduced a new category of Windows PCs called Copilot+ PCs. These devices are designed for AI and offer impressive features: powerful silicon capable of 40+ TOPS (trillion operations per second), all-day battery life, and access to advanced AI models. With Copilot+ PCs, users can experience features like Recall (easily finding and remembering content), Cocreator (real-time AI image generation and refinement), and Live Captions (language translation).

• The U.K. government has officially passed the Automated Vehicles (AV) Act, which could see fully self-driving vehicles on U.K. roads by 2026. This legislation enables advanced technology to safely drive vehicles, marking a significant step toward integrating autonomous cars into everyday transportation. The Act clarifies that corporations will be responsible for any mishaps, relieving human drivers of liability while the vehicle is in control

• JP Morgan Chase, a major American bank, is providing AI training to all new employees responsible for banking operations. The CEO, Jamie Dimon, emphasizes the importance of AI and likens it to past transformative technologies like printing presses, steam engines, electricity, computing, and the internet. Mary Erdoes, Head of Asset and Wealth Management, announced that this year, all new hires will receive training in prompt engineering to prepare for the future of AI.

• Scarlett Johansson’s legal team is requesting that OpenAI reveal the process behind creating an AI personal assistant voice that closely resembles her own.
