The new offerings include the Qwen 2.5 series of large language models, multimodal AI models like Qwen-VL and Tongyi Wanxiang, and the AI coding assistant Tongyi Lingma. These tools aim to enhance productivity and creativity for global developers.

• Perplexity AI Inc. has launched the Sonar API, enabling developers to integrate search capabilities into their applications. Available in two versions, Sonar and Sonar Pro, the API leverages Perplexity's large language models to process search queries. Sonar is optimized for speed and cost-efficiency, while Sonar Pro offers enhanced capabilities for complex queries.

• President Trump has revoked a 2023 executive order signed by former President Biden that aimed to mitigate AI risks to national security, the economy, and public health. Biden's order required AI developers to share safety test results with the government. Critics argued that the order hindered AI innovation by imposing onerous reporting requirements.
